GXT comments: Useless at best, Confusing at worst

See the screen shot the return value doesn't make sense as commented.

Shouldn't an outerHTML return the outerHTML and not the innerHTML?

GXT sucks moment

I was using this library called GXT at work and man does it have bugs.

Here's an example if you click on a menu button too fast your context menus never disappear.

It would appear that web developers don't have the same level of robustness as conventional developers / engineers. Then again maybe the people behind this library are just lazy.

A Theme For Your Life

Periodically in our lives we come across music that seems to best describe our situation at this time. With my thesis defense finally booked and the end date in sight I feel like this is an epic battle to the finish line.

I just happen to at the same time run across this track which conveys perfectly if my life had a theme song this would be the montage background song that would go along with this event.

Washroom Humor

One problem with symbolic information is how it can be interpreted in different ways take this for example.

On first inspection it's just a normal hand dryer, but if you look closer...

Where did the street light go?

There has been trouble on main street it seems. Some drunken driver in the middle of the night has decided he was going to test the limit of his car. One fallen street light and a school fence later this is the after math.

So if your wondering why we have a temporary light where the rest are cement... This would be why.

Hamilton: Unfinished

There are some things about this city that I'll never understand take this for instance.

When I first saw it I thought it was the wireframe for a sidewalk, but as weeks turned to months and months turned to years, I realized that it's suppose to look like that. Call it what you will but it will always look unfinished to me.

Lego Tat-Tat-Tat-Tat-Tat!

With the early details of the capstone project in hand we know it'll be lego and we know it will be mindstorms.

I was thinking of markets for our project (part of our assignment) and I realized that if I build one of the lego attachments below then I'd definetly be scooped up by Darpa.

For a limited time Canadian Tire is selling Java Objects

Place your order at Canadian Tire now!

It's really funny seeing what happens when bugs go live. Does this mean they have to honor your purchase of a Java Object now? Should they have a disclaimer? "Note: might look different then pictured"

Funny cause it's true

I ran into this random link today and it was the funniest commentary. Mainly because the author help illustrate how rediculous some forms of argument have become. So if your up for a good chuckle or want to learn how to win arguments check this out.

O's in the mail

The o for my laptop has finally arrived today at 9:00am. Now I can spell all those wonderful things involving the letter O!

A laptop simply isn't a laptop without the letter o (it's more like laptp).

So normailty has been restored and the need / urge to fix things have gone down dramatically...

On a side note this new laptop keyboard seems to have more texture than the previous one. I think that typing over time can actually wear down the keys so that they are smooth and polished. Guess this will take a bit of getting used to.

Are you in the game?

Really this picture could be a testimate to my boredom. I personally think it's done well enough anyone who's played Half-Life 2 (I haven't yet) will reconize this scene.

Summer's for wimps!

Posted by Hello

I woke up this morning to rain wonderful rain... wait a minute that's not rain, oh yes hail! So this is what summer's like?! Those are some pretty big pellets.
Summer's for wimps! (2)

That must have been what the guy upstairs was thinking when he unleashed the torrent of pellets today. It's funny I've been in Toronto for what 6 days now and not one of them was it not snowing or raining. I guess the preview of summer is over now it's back to winter.

So the story goes our house decided to try out grocerygateway since No Frills closed down in Hamilton, being our only source of cheap food we were concerned. After looking for alternatives and how much travel each of these require we decided to give grocery gateway a shot. Posted by Hello

And to the roomate that can live off a tub of peanut butter for months at a time (eating nothing else). What better house-warming-welcome-back gift could we give? Posted by Hello
